Comish - And Nothing Else Compares

Epic Scene Commission for featuring Glitch, the Angel Dragon, with her mate, Sora, the gyrfalcon, their love encompassing even the changing of the seasons~

This piece in particular is actually the finished result of my latest YCH Auction Piece held on FurAffinity!  This is definitely one of the largest pieces I've worked on recently, both in amount of details and sheer size of the piece, and I'm happy to showcase this, as it were, as my last commission of 2015!  Way to toast the year with a strong drawing hand!

The background was a bit of a challenge, with the merging of the seasons.  I brought in trees from Sora's autumn into the wintry background, and blew some snow from Glitch's winter over the forest floor foreground.  Since the piece is so large, I wanted to pack a lot of detail into the background without drowning out the main characters, so I created a sort of 'pseudo-sunset' between them, and let them frame it and kind of pull in their respective seasons.  The piece is so big, I was also able to paint in the individual tufts of fur, particularly around their wings and on their faces.  Every inch of the characters is completely furred and textured!
