Another gradient commission I took, this one for SulferDragon of FA.

Sulfer here is super cool! I just love his colours, (I've been doing a few dragons with this colour scheme, have you noticed?) He's pretty cool, and looks like he has a lot of attitude. I didn't see too many feral Sulfer pieces in SulferDragon's gallery, so I decided to do him here as a traditional dragon. ^^

And I love these wings! I've really been happy to get lots of wing practice in, (specifically the shading there in the membrane and on the feathers.) And also fur shading practice. Just shading.

Commissions in this style are still available. ^^ Constructive criticism is welcome!

Thank you SulferDragon!

Enjoy! :D

Things to be proud of:
Your creative use of color scheme is absolutely fantastic in this piece. I enjoy how each color adds to the other; it is all so well thought out and enjoyable to see that it looks like natural coloring for a dragon. Most people sort of think as color as a blanket to be thrown over their character; you have masterfully made it every bit as important as the rest of your piece. The wing design is stunning and I love the effects of your mane/hair on the dragon; it contrasts sharply and exceedingly well with the scales and wing membranes/feathers. All in all, your technique is incredible. Well done.
Some things to work on: These are all my personal opinions, and you may take them with as many grains of salt as you like. I would have liked to see a little more highlight in your piece, and some more lighting effect in general. I think you have a good grasp on shadow; to make your characters pop more I would enunciate muscle a little more, make scales gleam a little more, and use lighting to illustrate that beautiful color scheme that I can't stop raving about XD.
Anatomically, I noticed that the tail is longer than the dragon itself; so I'm not sure if realism is a concern but, if so, just be careful what proportions you're giving to your creatures.
All in all, this is a beautiful piece that made me glad to be on deviantart. Keep drawing so that more of your wonderful work may be seen!
