This should actually be called 'Desert Patrol~~~', but DA hates my nifty punctuations marks. (DA titles hate lots of nifty punctuation marks. Hmph.)

Just did this - one hour. I'm surprised at how fast I did it/how well it turned out.

Still working with lineless/painting. I've been browsing and studying as many tutorials as I can and...I dunno. I just can't get the 'okay...now squiggle some colour with the airbrush and...' and somehow it turns out nice and neat. Hmph.

So...I was a bad person and did this exactly how I would execute a picture with lines...but without them. (OMG, NO WAI!!!) (I think it actually went a bit faster because I wasn't worried about filling in my linework with my base colours. I hatehatehatehatehatehatehate masking/filling in base colours... That's the longest freaking part of digital art - at least for me. The lineart/shading+highlighting just whizzes around in no time. Ack.)

Meh. I have a headache. I always have a headache, ftw.

So...yeah.

Haladin enjoying a ride on Juban over the vast expanse of the Arabian desert~~~ Man, I want to go to the Middle East soooooooo bad!...

Any tips/tricks/etc on how to achieve these any better would be much appreciated. :meow: As always!

Also any critique would be appreciated. :)

Enjoy!
Char/Art (c) me.
Rippers will be nuked and swiftly disposed of. ;)

WOOT!
Alright so, allow me to take a moment and compliment your sand there. Looks very realistic, and it's wonderful anwith shadow highlights and a little texture without being distracting. Good expression on dragon and nice detail work on person!
Suggestions: One, you might want to make your sky a blue, it would really help make dragon pop na little more and is more realistic, but that's more a stylistic thing. What I really want to talk about is the dragon - I just have some quick notes for you. Firstly, those wings are actually at a different angle compawred to the rest of the body, so just be aware of that. Next time, that wing closest to us is probably actually going to gt closer and closer to the screen and you'll have to play with forshortening, otherwise you gorsta move that whole body buddy . Another thing, when a dragon is flying it's probably going to tuck those limbs in a little more securely to the body.
Those are just quick things to keep in mind, but otherwise this is a greeat job and I love this piece. Can't wait to see more form you, keep up the good work!
