Cell Shaded piece featuring my Kestrel Dutch Angel Dragon, Sniper!

Like Sniper sitting here, I've been sitting on this sketch for a while. So happy to have time to polish it up!

I often portray Sniper's anthro form as very playful and energetic, and his feral form as very serious and majestic. While these attributes hold true, that's not to say there's some crossover between his forms - after all, he's still the same fellow in both forms!

Though he takes his job very seriously, an occupation for which he typically reserves his feral form, he can still be quite playful in this form! I wanted to portray that with a light-hearted, approachable expression and posture to overlook those muscular limbs and sharp talons, hehe.

Art-wise, I'm really happy with how the colours turned out in this one. Like Sniper's pose and demeanor, I wanted to keep the background light and a bit airy as well! I also definitely wanted to portray Sniper's feathers as iridescent, an aspect of them that's visible in bright, natural light! The iridescence is due to his feathers secreting oil, which protects his wings and fur from the salt water he flies over on a continuous basis.
