In the depths of the desert
In the heart of the storm
Over the tops of golden dunes
Over the moon to the dawn

...Isn't he pretty? I mean, really. I can't think of any other word to describe him except pretty. Pretty. How manly. I think it's his eyes...man, I love his eyes...

For an 'OC' contest - my pretty little desert man.

So this guy's been lovingly dubbed 'Radu the Desert Priest'... For obvious reasons.

I was actually setting up the background with a clear sky, but then it hit me that I shouldn't name it 'Desert Storm' without a storm of some sort. >.< So I whipped up some tan overlays and actually borrowed a sunset background I did for another picture a while back. I played with the opacity (though I kept the nice blue sky underneath) until I got the ominous colour mix that I wanted. Now it almost has a purple hue to it...huh.

He's very decorated, too! I'm not sure if you can tell...but there are lots of tiny little red and blue alternating gems on his outfit, as well as some fancy golden diamond shapes on the ends of his sleeves and cloak. He's very much so the cutting edge of fashion. :3

So maybe someday you'll be far out in the desert somewhere for a long time. You may see him out of the corner of your eye... Is it just an illusion...?

Or a warning...?

For the roaring beast of a sandstorm coming to swallow you up...?

Or is he really a Djinn, walking the burning sands and hunting for passerby whom he may overcome with the force of the storm to be...?
