It is said that at the center of our own galaxy, the Milky Way, there resides a supermassive object with a mass of 4.1 million solar masses... (4.1 mil. times the size of our sun.)
This object has a very tiny radius, however, being much less 17 light (speed of light) hours across.
The only object we know of that can pack 4.1 million solar masses into such a tiny volume can be none other than...
...a super-massive black hole.
I was going to wait a while to post this guy...man I can't believe it...only one more dragon to go! But I'm going on a band trip this weekend, so I'm leaving you in suspense until then!
Presenting the supermassive black hole...of galactic proportions, so to speak... (The first BH dragon was a 'normal-sized' black hole. Like, 33 solar masses. Okay, he can be 53. )
This guy, however, is capable of destroying worlds, universes, solar systems, even... Man...
So I was trying to capture the whole 'galactic theory.' In the case of SM BHs, (supermassive black holes, lol,) if you were to try and travel down one, you wouldn't notice the warping or 'spaghettifying' effect until very, very deep in the throat of the black hole... Which explains this guys enormous throat there. Kind of inspired by balleen whales. :3
I love the imagery of... Hey. Have any of you seen the new remake of the Star Trek as a movie? Yeah. Well when the alien-bug guy ship comes out of the wormhole and their ship is like 'RAAAAAWR' and pointy and all jaggedy and just kind of...reaching forward to the tiny Academy ship? Like it's gonna swallow it?
Now compare that to balleen whales...when they come out of nowhere with their giant mouths and are like 'MOOOOOOOWWWW!' <whalespeak< and eat everything in sight?
*brick'd*
I just like that imagery. Actually, for the sake of the 'swallowing' idea, think of whales. For intergalactic phenomena, think of 'Star Trek'...and an empty belly...a very, very empty belly...
*RPG'd*
So, okay, yeah, I know this isn't in the style of any of the other dragons from this or the first series, but hey, he's supermassive, I'm not gonna argue with that beast! And I like it. His accretion disk looks like a cloud.
BUT, if you think that creeper of 4.1 million masses hanging around Sagittarious is big? THINK AGAIN! *sit down, if you're not already - you'll want to*
The binary pair of galaxies called OJ287 contains the most massive black hole known...
18 billion solar masses.
18 billion.
I mean...can you guys even comprehend that? Comprehend how huge that is?... That's...that's so staggering... It boggles my mind. It makes me stop what I'm doing and squint and think about it. *makes academic face* That's...that's...incomprehensibly huge, do you understand? Holy...I mean...seriously. Seriously.
*stands back up*
